It’s now Boxing Day here in Oz.
The 3rd Ashes Cricket Test against the old foe England starts today on the hallowed grounds at the MCG [Melbourne cricket ground]
The Boxing Day test is part of our tradition so it’s a nice surprise that the Victorian Premier, Comrade Dan, didn’t have it cancelled.
It’s a five Test series. We smashed the poms in the first two Tests and we’re hoping for a 5-0 whitewash. [Nothing better than beating the Poms at their own game]
The atmosphere at these Tests is brilliant. The poms have a cheer squad affectionately called the Barmy Army who, led by a guy playing a trumpet, sing and chant the entire day, even when it’s blisteringly hot.
Aussie cricket fans treat them with good humour and to be honest, an Ashes Test would not be the same without them.
The Sydney to Hobart yacht race also starts today.
Ever since we were kids we flicked TV channels between the cricket Test and the S to H on Boxing Day. [Last year we were denied both by the Commie filth]

Very quiet - Wooki my German Shepherd is terrified of storms, so unfortunately I had to cancel my plans for a night out with mates due to rumbling skies.
How was yours @Atrand ?
I was not able to join the family due to the insane travel restrictions but managed to catch up with some friends both on the eve and the day and share some good food, which made it alright. Yours?
it went great here! last night was a nice relaxing night with my dog and mom! we watched deal or no deal, had some brats and cabbage, then cake. then today my gf came over! we got each other stuff , and her, my mom and i all had dinner and opened gifts! then her and i chilled and laid down next to each other in my room in each other’s arms and just stared at each other and talked FANTASTIC NIGHT
hey all! it went good. relaxing night as always. not having a shit ton of people over is always the best LOL. was 60 fucking degrees here. ON CHRISTMAS. the HELL is going on?!

Well it sounds like everyone had a great night… I’m glad to hear that. Looks like nothing but turmoil on some of the other forms I go on LOL. I don’t know if people are just trolling or that’s what really happens or they’re just doomers
But it seems like people had a very nice feeling Christmas this year and some type of energy felt very very good that I haven’t felt this good in a very long time to be honest with you all

He’s doing okay thanks. A bit more clingy than usual.
Several nights ago he totally freaked out during a storm when we were in bed.
The next day he stuck to me like glue like he does during a storm.
My vet has prescribed xanax but I’d prefer to avoid hard drugs if possible. I’ll try CBD oil and see how that goes and I’ll get a crate that I’ll cover with a blanket to create a den for him.
The good news is that a storm rolled through a couple of days later and he didn’t freak [normally he lays at my feet under the dining table and settles]
I’ve not had a dog who was scared of storms before Wooki [maybe because I raised all my other dogs from pups - maybe because Wooki is a rescue that might have something to do with that]
It’s strange because he’s a very confident boy who jumps towards sudden loud noises.

We smashed the Poms by an entire innings in 2 1/2 days of the five day Test.
As an Aussie fan I’m delighted but as a cricket fan I’m rather disappointed that the English did not put up a fight. [Apart from their veteran bowler Anderson] The English press is howling for blood.
The 4th Test at the SCG [Sydney Cricket Ground] starts on the 5th in 4 days time.
It remains to be seen if the English cricket team has any grit or pride in their countries colours.
