@apache has every right to speak his mind. Assy is a trouble maker who thinks that he’s some sort of guru here to impart his distorted perspective to the rest of us poor fucks who he sees as being beneath him.

What I didn’t ever realise was that my eyes were just part of my defense system when out in the big wide world.
It was something I learned as a short 15yo kid. My ‘backyard’, that included Kings Cross, is Sydneys red-light district. A rough area.
One must walk, especially at night. like you’re meant to be there, with confidence.
If one walks like they’re some sort of tough guy then someone will challenge you.
Walk like a victim and you will become a victim.
One night when around 34yo, I left a ‘nightclub’ [a glorified 23 hour pub] at 3.20am and walked through Parramatta Mall that was totally deserted.
Halfway through the mall, a gang of Middle Easterners and a few Pacific Islanders, walked around a corner about 50’ from me.
Once we were a bit closer I gave the ‘leader’ a nod and received a nod in return. [The others then visibly relaxed. They were waiting for their leaders response]
The next night my mate, who was head of security at the nightclub, had heard that a 33yo bloke had been bashed in the mall the previous night at 3:25am and presumed that I was the victim. It was reported in the local paper that described the very gang that I encountered who were the ones who bashed and robbed the victim.
So why did they leave me alone? And jump the next bloke they came across a few minutes later?
My façade is my defense against the outside world and I only lower it when amongst harmless and/or respectful people.
