Here is what is coming, food will become scarce and drastically more expensive.
As an update from my local area, most items are still in stock but the levels are low on some things and some things are starting to not be there. I went online to order some dog and cat food from a major distributor and the first 15 items i normally would buy were ALL out of stock with NO known restock date.
Also I talked with one manager of a large food chain outlet and he told me that his company is giving the food to the heavy pop areas first and so IF there is anything left then it comes to where I live, which is a small pop less than 45K. so that needs to be known as for those who live like me we will get shortages first!
be prepared is the ONLY way to be. of course one can never be truly or totally prepped, LOL just do the best you can!

Any bets on IF sabotaged and then of course we may not ever know for sure as it will be listed as an accident, It would not surprise me if this was not part of the evil ones plans. the cost of fertilizers has tripled and many farmers cannot make it at that cost so many are NOT growing crops and then with this plant gone, it will add fuel to the fire. just as predicted food will become a big issue do to cost and shortages.

I do support SNAP for people in need but junk food is not a need.
Childhood obesity is a real health risk and those on SNAP are also on medicaid.
Tax payers should not have to fund unhealthy diet choices and the consequences of those choices.

I completely agree, energy drinks included. We pay into it so just as well use it, but if they get cash benefits they shouldn’t be allowed to buy things like cigarettes.
It’s just funny the article chose a picture of a black kid in front of an empty fridge.

i agree with this. I’m fully on board with providing snap and ebt to people in need. but there are too many people abusing it 
Of course they use a cute little black girl for the picture.
But from what I see the majority of children with parents on SNAP are obese.
I don’t live in a area with a high percent of African Americans but my old neighborhood had a lot of Hispanics.
The number of kids, fat kids, eating in the grocery store, just grabbing things off the shelves and tearing into them, was disturbing.

There was this vid about how food stamps should be for essentials only [like for real food - fruit, vegies, milk, flour, eggs etc] No more junk food.
They were getting reactions from morbidly obese black mothers. One shrieks into the camera with an incredulous tone saying “What are my keeids gonna eat?” And there’s the problem in a nutshell.
There’s other vids of black mothers bragging about the crap they buy with food stamps. One mother was unpacking her weekly shop and it was all highly processed ready to eat junk food. Stuff that I’d not ever put in my mouth. Not a vegetable or piece of fruit in sight.
When we were kids we simply did not have junk food in our home. Any biscuits/cookies were homemade and we only ever saw soft drinks/soda at parties.
