i agree! i like when there are more topics to post under when making a thread! we want more…

I was in my early thirties participating in the ritual three-day celebration of my birth.

You see on 07/04 in the year of my birth, my mothers’ doctor gave her a shot to “delay” her labor so that he could attend his daughters “Birth-day Party”. Stopped my birth from being on the 4^th^.

It has often felt like I’m always a day late.

As a result of this I celebrated the 3^rd^, 4^th^, and 5^th^ days of the month. Then I would spend the 6^th^day recuperating from the festivities.

I was living in a pop-up camper down in the corner of Vaughn-ville. Having spent the previous two years living in the wine bottle after She told me to “Just get your stuff and leave”.

Yes, I was very depressed. This contributed to my consumption of mass quantities of intoxicants. That year I began said consumption on the 3^rd^.
Oh yes; we danced, we sang, we howled at the moon there in that little corner.

I awoke on the morning of the 5^th^ surprised not to have an enormous hang over. All that day I felt fine, a little fuzzy but nothing to indicate my previous two days consumption. I spent the day conversing with the adults and playing with the children. All thru the day, not a drop to drink.

Later that evening a group of us were standing around a modest campfire in a circle.

Suddenly I’m in a very dark, silent place. It was a most pleasant experience. As I wonder what happened and where I was, a small fuzzy point of light appears. I began to hear distant sounds as the light started toward me and got bigger. Soon, voices could be understood; “Is he alive?”, “Did you see that ?”. Then the voices became familiar and I remembered where I was. As my vision continued to clear I began to realize that I was flat on my back on the ground.

A flood of questions raced thru my mind as I sat up and looked around at my companions. The looks of astonishment were plain on their faces.

“What the F*ck, Was that ?” I ask.

One by one, as I asked each of them the question, “Do you know what happened?” Each of them gave me a strange look, shook their head, then turned and walked away. This of course started to concern me. Finally only one person was left standing there.

Sensing that this was the last chance to find out WTF.

I changed the question.

“Did you see what happened?” I inquired yet again.

Voice trembling, she replied.

“Yes, I saw what happened. I know what I saw. But there’s no way I could explain it.”

“Well then please tell me what you saw.” What she said next scares/excites me still.

Voice still trembling she related, “You were standing directly across the fire talking to me. When suddenly your eyes rolled back into your head … and you started to fall, face first, into the fire.”

As she fell silent, I gently asked,” Who caught me?”

She trembled all over and looked in my eyes with the strangest expression.

“Nobody.”

“There was no one close enough to catch you.” She was really shaking at that point. Her voice, distant and hollow. “You fell about half way and then stopped.”

“Stopped?” I interrupt.

“Yes! Stopped in mid air. Hung there for far longer than you should have; then you moved back to standing up and then on down to the ground on your back.

You didn’t fall. It looked just like someone had caught you and then laid you down. Like laying a baby in a cradle.” She pauses and I gaze at her questioningly. “But there was no one there. That’s what I saw. I can’t explain it. But that’s what I saw.”

It was only moments before understanding commenced. “O.K. That’s that. That was my wake-up call. Time to stop drinking and straighten my life out.”

I agree. would be cool to keep building on topics so we can post and select an “experiences” one or something!

wow! holy shit I read that whole thing. did that happen to you uncle? :open_mouth:

Yes. Both are actual experiences from Our past.
We are still looking for someone that has had a similar experience to the first one.
We know who kept Us from the fire.

wow…quite an experience uncle. I have had a few that couldn’t be explained, like i was in another dimension…or plane. Not sure if i was dreaming or not, it was very very real. to the point I could touch the water , and it was wet and warm. Picture like in the movie “contact” when she arrives on the beach… it felt JUST LIKE THAT. which is why that is one of my favorite movies. my experience was soooo life like and vivid, minus the father coming lol.

I can’t explain it. People think I’m crazy if I do!

We can relate.
For those who’ve not had such experiences for themselves it is almost impossible to understand.
We would like to know about Yours, if You would share.

i have to get some stuff done right now, but later on I will try to put into words..

This one is an actual.

‘Twas a Night like any Other…

There I was, consciousness off-line, body at rest, repairing itself after another beautiful day in the neighborhood. Suddenly I’m totally awake. Why?

Internal chronometer indicates Regeneration and Rejuvenation Cycles not complete. From behind my eyelids I see, it’s bright as day in my bedroom in the middle of the night.

Well, by now, you’ve probably deduced that something really strange is going on here. So I open my eyes slowly to find that indeed, my entire bedroom is bathed in a light so bright it should hurt. That’s another question, “Why didn’t the light blind me?”

“Where’s the light coming from?” you ask. Oddly enough, it comes from where no light should come from. For right next to the back door, there is now another door. I know. How can, This be? I get the distinct impression there is a hallway going east and west on the other side of this door. I marvel at what my eyes are seeing, just as my mind is starting to comprehend. A shadow steps into view from the east and stands facing me, a shadow in the shape of a man, but there are no burning eyes of fire. No eyes at all. This shadow in counterpoint to the light that has everything bathed and standing out in such clarity and detail as I’ve never seen before is totally dark. A darkness that is as equally intense as the light.

Granted that in my forty-three years I’ve seen and experienced many strange and wonderful things, that I can’t find reference to anywhere. So, by now, you’d think I’d be used to this kind of stuff happening. Yet, this is so far out of the ordinary extraordinary…

I’ve seen a shadow once before, when I was twenty years old, in the Navy stationed in CT. doing my time on the submarine. The day was beautiful, not a cloud in the sky. I was sitting in a well-lit room on the couch, reading a book, when movement in the corner of my eye drew my attention to the stairs. Coming down the stairs, accompanied by no one, was a human shaped shadow you could see through.

But the shadow that stands before me now is solid, no blurriness about the edges and complete. Head, torso, arms and legs, hands and feet are all there. No. This is completely different.

My mind is doing absolutely nothing. It’s just sitting there, absorbing and recording everything, going “OOO look at all the pretty colors.” Unconcerned, I watch him walk into the room past my head and down the other side of the bed. The shadow stops and turns and looks down at me. Still it has no eyes of any kind.

Finally, my first conscious thought,” I’ve got to get up and do something about this.”

As I start to rise, a little voice in my mind says, “Is not the Creator with you always and what is there to fear?”

“Yes, this is true.” I think, shrugging my shoulders. Disarmed and at peace, I lay back down and am asleep before my head hits the pillow.

I know I, too, have about a million questions. Foremost, “What happened to my sense of adventure?” Not to mention my curiosity. And where did this sudden passivity come from? Is my faith in that “all things happen only to please the Creator” so great? Who was the dark one? Like what Abram saw in Ge. 15:12? Why didn’t I go through the door? Alas still many years later, I have found few answers.

As the alarm blasts me awake, I silence it. My first thought is “Now that was the most vivid, wildest dream I’ve ever had.” I get up and turn on the TV to provide some illumination. I’m feeling great, actually a little better than that. As normal for me in the morning, I’m thirsty. I go to the refrigerator for my twelve ounces of thirty-four degree liquid sugar and caffeine. I open the door, reach in and stop dead in my tracks.

Illuminated by the light of the fridge, standing out like a sore thumb, is a needle mark. “No way”, I mutter. Everything else is forgotten as I race to the bathroom for more light on the subject. On the way, all these different thoughts and emotions course through me. “Surely not! It was only a dream. Wasn’t it?” Into the bathroom, I snap on the light and stare, dumbfounded, at what I see. Cautiously I reach out and touch it with my right index finger. Yes, it’s real. I’m not seeing things, yet I feel as if I’m losing my mind.

You see, right there just above my left elbow on the inside toward my body, there’s a needle mark. I know. I’ve been to the doctor and the E.R. enough to “know” that this thing on my arm can be no other. It even has a small scab in the center.

Oh yes. I freak out, big time.

Then I gather myself and prepare for work. After all, someone has to pay the rent. And that someone is me.

By nine a.m. that day it, had completely disappeared. I went through the day in a state of mind that I cannot describe. And one day followed another and another. Many things have happened since. I haven’t found many answers and no record of a similar experience by anyone.[/quote]

While We are here.

A recent development that has Us Wondering.

We started feeling something “crawling” on Our back. Started about a year ago.

Folks were not happy when We asked them to look and see what it was.

The “crawling feeling” has turned into what We can only describe as the sensation that occurs when the wind blows the hair on the arms.

Then a week ago, as We were trying to sleep. The weather has been extremely Humid. As We rolled over the breeze from the fan passed across Our back, it felt like there are two stripes; going down the middle of each shoulder blade.

But no one can see anything.

We had brother take a picture and there is nothing visible.
