Sleep recharges the body. Literally thatās it lol
good sleep or bad sleep. if you dont get a deep sleep, your brain or body never fully recharge.
Ahh like a baby lamb ! Hell yes
Just got a new bed frame! my memory foam mattress plopped RIGHT in it!
Sleep is both a physical and non-physical energy recharge. Chi, Ki, Prana and all that as well.
On a physical level sleep is important for the body to repair itself (the body does not repair much whilst awake.) Physical, emotional and mental aspects of the self (they are not āone thingā but interconnected) are revitalised. Energy is (or should be) drawn from elsewhere in order to properly achieve this.

its quite amazing to me what our bodies and minds are capable of. I still say humans should hibernate during winter. lol
Sleep is every thing.
I think I get more done while asleep than I do when awake.
Iāve always been a deep sleeper.
The only thing that wakes me is when someone opens the door or window to my bedroom.
Iām the grumpiest bastard without at least 7 hours sleep.
My dog Bruce learned real quick not to wake me at the crack of dawn [when I felt his wet nose on my face the first morning I pulled the covers over my head and started growling
He took the hint]
For the next several days Iād wake with the odd feeling I was being watched.
There was Bruce sitting erect on his bed, staring at me intently using some sort of Jedi-mind-trick. Bloody dog. grrrrrrrr
Now he patiently waits until I wake. Heās a good boy.
oh my godā¦i sleep like a damn bear in hibernation. especially in the fall and winter. I LOVE the colder months for sleeping! also, cute dog! i love dogs
Would you believe that Bruce bit the first three who viewed him for adoption? All three required stitches at the local A&E [ER]
To be fair all three had no business handling a highly reactive dog due to extreme abuse.
He had no training, no socialisation, was beaten with sticks and/or brooms. Seriously abused and neglected he had not ever been shown affection and did not like being handled.
He was one serious, confident, independent dog who took no crap from no one. He rarely wagged his tail.
When we first went into public he tried to attack every single passerby. He appeared psychotic.
Bruce has not ever shown me any aggression. Itās like he decided to give me the benefit of the doubt from the get go.
18 months later and heās like a different dog. He now tolerates the presence of strangers and is a happy boy.
Heās a fine companion and excellent security.
Might start a pet thread and tell his story when I get the chance.
poor fella. sounds like heās been through so much
but im glad you gave him a nice home! terrible how people are to animals sometimes ā¦
yea! you should start a pet thread! i would love to have more people start threads here ![]()

Beating and mistreating a dog is how one turns them into a really good guard dog, didnāt ya know? grrrrr
Iād love to run into Bruces former owner while on our walk. Iād know who it was immediately.
Iād have some real fun there, lol.
Bruce thinks Iām all that and some. Iād hate to see anyone come at me with ill intent. Bruce would take their throat [or a guys nuts.]
Did you know that many dogs actually have a preference between going the groin and the throat? My old Rotti boy was trained. A beautiful animal, brilliant with little kids, who was guaranteed to take out five men. When viewing him I cheekily asked āIs Fang a throat or groin guyā [expecting a laugh in response] the trainer said "Yes well he does prefer the throat but he will go the groin when thereās multiple āthreatsā. " eek!
Heard a real scary tale about one of their dogs. A guy was in serious trouble with bad guys. He bought a $10,000 bodyguard level trained Rotti from the trainers {this was in the late 80ās. Today the same dog would cost $25k} The guy sent his family interstate.
Two weeks later the guy brought the dog back. Didnāt want a refund. Knowing that he had to choose his words carefully after the guy said āI donāt need the dog. He did his job and removed the threat. Iām so grateful. My family is now safeā
These dogs are trained to be a deterrent and it wasnāt often that they were put to the ultimate test, so naturally the trainer was curious to know; so he asked āHow many āthreatsā did the dog neutralise?ā āFiveā
This bodyguard level dog āneutralisedā [killed] five bad men all by himself. Scary huh?
My sleep has been all over the place lately.
Either Iām awake real early, or like this morning when I woke at 9.50am, I sleep in late.
like a baby lamb after a fresh trot around the farm! which reminds me. itās sleep time lol
masterful. gives me powers! im going to sleep NOW lol
how are ya sleepin now, elric?

how are ya sleepin now, elric? [/quote]
Itās weird; Iām either awake at 5am like the first half of this week, or I sleep-in to 9am like the last three days.
An internet friend says itās to do with the Schumann resonance.
Speaking of which; many are experiencing disturbed sleep patterns, flare-ups of existing symptoms and pain and tinnitus.
Last night I noticed that Iāve been experiencing āwhite noiseā tinnitus [which Iāve been able to ignore until it was pointed out]
Some liken this to a āpurgingā. Idk.
Weird shit this way comes. Not sure what will come first; the DS/Elites OWG or Mother Earths āresetā.
i found that having some nice ambient music on always helped me sleep. try that , elricā¦
Itās weird, Iāve always been able to sleep anywhere.
Most insomnia is a result of not being able to switch off the internal dialogue.
Every night I usually nod off reading a book.
The problem is that as a bloke ages, his nocturnal water works patterns change [due to the prostrate IIRC]
Up until 50yo I rarely awoke busting for a slash.
Now that Iām 61yo I wake up at least once a night to piss. Itās getting back to sleep after 5-6 hours sleep from a bathroom visit thatās sometimes a problem.
Which reminds me; ever since I was a kid, when I needed to awaken to go to the toilet, Iād dream that I was out in public hanging for a slash.
Whenever I ran to what I thought was a private place to piss [behind a tree or around the corner of a building for example] people would suddenly appear nearby.
Iād hear a loud voice say āYou canāt piss here!ā Thatās when Iād wake absolutely busting. ![]()
These days I just open my eyes and think ābugger itā and just get up.
