Anarchy (not the fake, violent anarchy practiced by many on the left), literally means Without Archons. (Archons were ancient rulers) and so anarchy means âwithout rulersâ, but it does not mean âwithout rulesâ.
Therefore, anarchy is anti-stateism (it rejects the claimed âneedâ for a centralised controlling entity such as a government.) In particular, anarcho-capitalism is a belief in a Free Market, without government. Since anarchy is anti-stateism, governments have, of course, programmed their populations into believing that anarchy means âchaosâ and they have peddled the belief that âgovernment is necessary to maintain peace and orderâ. Of course, it is not the case, so long as people work together to ensure their communities remain peaceful and free of external negative influences.
Real anarchy also advocates for agorism, the voluntary-only interaction and exchange of good amongst people. Voluntarism is the ideology that is behind (true) Anarchism.
